We are raising funds to continue to oppose Highways England’s proposals for a Lower Thames Crossing east of Gravesend, and to promote alternative solutions which we believe will provide maximum relief from congestion and pollution, and which will benefit people of Dartford, Gravesham, Thurrock and surrounding areas.
We need funding so that we can:
- Seek legal advice
- Undertake further public awareness campaigning
- Cover administrative costs
The money raised will help to meet the cost of banners, printed material, email circulars, and to contribute towards the cost of specialist support, including legal advice, and to run our website in support of the campaign.
So far we have been supported by a small group of generous donors and a number of local action groups, but we continue to need your help to move the campaign forward.
We live in uncertain times. It is important that we keep up our efforts to lobby for the right solution for communities in Kent (in collaboration with colleagues in Essex). There remains a lengthy process to go through as Highways England progress a Development Consent Order under the Planning Act 2008. Further statutory public consultation will follow in due course, expected in 2018.
