About Us
The Lower Thames Crossing Association (LTCA) is a non-political, not-for-profit organisation established to benefit the communities impacted by the proposed Lower Thames Crossing.
In particular its objectives are:-
- to oppose Lower Thames Crossing options which are to the detriment of the environment and communities of north Kent,
- to promote Lower Thames Crossing solutions which provide maximum relief from traffic congestion and pollution, and
- to promote measures to mitigate the adverse impacts of the final crossing option selected.
The LTCA is managed and governed by an elected Executive Committee comprising representatives for the affected areas. All Committee roles will subject to a nomination and election process.
The LTCA will work to benefit communities in Gravesham and Dartford, and will collaborate closely with campaign groups in Thurrock.
In order to achieve these objectives, the LTCA may apply for grants, engage in publicity and fundraising activities, enter into contracts with specialist organisations, and engage legal representation.
The LTCA will communicate with the communities via this website and other associated social media, and through regular meetings with an independent advisory group representing all parts of Gravesham.
Revenue for the organisation will be primarily funded from grants, donations, and the proceeds from arranging or supporting fund-raising activities, social events, and the sale of promotional merchandise.
All Committee members have donated their time to run the campaign free of charge. Expenses incurred in running this website have been born personally by Committee members as a donation to the cause.
Use of any revenue resulting from our fundraising campaign shall be the subject of Committee approval.
